I have always washed mine in the top shelve of our dishwasher on regular cycle.....spray a little extra shout on the dirty areas from the sweat and sun....my white ones come out nice and clean......the black ones come out clean but not back to true black....let them go through the dry cycle, then place them on a towel outside in the sun to dry completely....good luck......chuck   :-)
