Hi, I have just returned from being at a Titleist Thursday, the very first one held at Strathclyde Park Golf Centre.

What can I say? Wow!! What an experience. I am honestly like an excited kid after just spending the last 45 mins /hour with the Titleist fitting guys.

As they were running ahead of schedule, they took me early. It started off with David doing a ball fit with myself. I hit various clubs (Wedge, 7 iron, Driver), using Trackman to assess if the ball I am using is the correct ball for me.

From this data, David did confirm that the ProV1x I am currently using is indeed the correct ball for my data.

I then moved onto what I had booked for - a Wedge fitting.

I was introduced to Graham, who asked what was in my bag, and what my issues or concerns are. After hitting a dozen or so balls with my current wedge set up, he had identified that Gapping was my main issue. I had not enough options for the short shots of 50-90 yards.

Once the gapping issue was sorted with the lofts that I need, he then moved onto determining the bounce which suited myself.

Within a couple of shots, he had chosen the right club/loft and bounce for my game. Never in my life have I ever had any control for shots of approx. 50-70 yards, let alone putting backspin on a ball. Absolutely amazing.

I am now just awaiting the email coming through from Titleist confirming the Specs and set-up that suits my game. Once that arrives, its time to speak with "Mrs Bank Manager", to have some funds released, and the clubs will be purchased.

Once again Titleist, you have totally surpassed yourselves again with Titleist Thursdays and your knowledgeable and friendly staff.

The whole experience just reaffirms exactly why I chose Titleist clubs to start with, and play with the #1ballingolf.
