Recently I was unlucky enough to break my hand (middle of February) which meant no driving, lifting and of course NO GOLF
This was made much harder by the fact that every time I looked into the conservatory my clubs where there staring at me wondering why they were being neglected. It’s been a race against time as I had ageeed to play in a Charity golf day for Cancer research which is this Friday and I was not convinced I would be able to play. I left it as long as possible before picking up the clubs again and finally went last night to the range, was very pleased that there were no pains from it although it felt a bit uncomfortable as the bone has healed on an angle and it’s the are where the left index finger contacts the right little finger.
I can’t wait to get out and play now one because I’ve missed it but mainly for such a great cause which affects everyone one way or another (my wife had surgery 2 years ago this month so it’s personal for me).
Has anyone here played golf after recovering from a similar injury and if so, how did you get through the round? I’m not expecting anything go other than being able to enjoy playing again and can’t wait to get on that first tee.
Happy golfing!!
