Just thought I would see what all the TT members favourite course was? Mines is between kingsbarns and royal aberdeen but I think royal aberdeen just beats kingsbarns.

Of the courses I've played I'd have to say Sunningdale Old.

Sunningdale both are the best 36 holes of golf you can play in a day.

That's a tough question. I would say Sunningdale Old also
  6. East Sussex national and royal porthcawl
Although I used up about 1 dozen balls between them both

I would have to say Nefyn golf club, what an amazing course and the views are amazing. Ive played there a couple of times now, and if you get it in bad weather it can be very punishing out on the cliffs. I enjoy playing Hillside GC as I use to be a junior member,
  8. For me I have few courses which I would consider my favourite:

Sunningdale (New and Old) - both fantastic courses in immaculate condition when I played them
Royal Birkdale - just to try and re-create some famous shots, bit of a brute in the wind (SS was +6 for the comp I played!)
Royal Cinque Ports - just a brilliant layout and always a tough test
Woburn - have played the Dukes and Marquess a few times and I never come away disappointing from my visits. Brilliant venue and always in great condition

I'm in agreement with Luke on Woburn, Great courses with tournament history and have memories of watching Seve, Faldo, Laura Davies, Annika, et al playing on the Dukes. Always a warm welcome there...

Wentworth East (played West but the east just that little bit better)

    Walton Heath

    St Mellion Nicklaus.

Will be adding Royal Porthcawl to this list in June....

Royal Birkdale was amazing.! Also played all 3 Woburn courses which were fantastic but I think I would go for Turnberry which was awesome.!

Woburn was outstanding and definitely one of the best I’ve played.

Royal Birkdale was a real treat to play but have to be honest I found it very hard maybe because I just let the course take over and not plot my way round. It certainly beat me up and one day would love to play it again and think my way around the course.

Both Trump courses up here in Scotland are magnificent, regardless of the owner, as good any any I've ever played. Never ever got the fascination of the Old at St Andrews, absolutely average course and I was a member for ten or so years.
  14. Have fond memories of Macrihanish, though it might be the whole day experience...
Flew to Campbelltown from Prestwick, taxi to the club house. Super lunch and then played the course, starting with the driver over the Atlantic to the 1st fairway. Made the very elevated green with my 2nd and though the birdie putt lipped out, a par was very acceptable. Smashing course, lovely weather, great company. Flew back, in a glorious Scottish evening, over the Mull of Kintyre. Just brilliant. Really should go back....

The Old Course is still the one that makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. Played it several times now and enjoyed everyone of them.

However I think the best course I’ve played was Royal Birkdale (thanks to Team Titleist!!). Everything about it was perfect.

Hankley Common for me, great course, great hospitality and really secluded on the course - Helped also by playing well and a day ticket!! heather was in full bloom and absolute;y stunning.

Away from my home course, I belong to a nationwide society for work purposes which plays in order 1) The Berkshire (both courses) 2) Walton Heath (both courses) 3) Sunningdale (both courses) 4) Swinley Forest 5) West Hill.......all very good and very worthwhile of you gert the chance, The Berkshire carvery is legendry!!

wooow between you all, you have mentioned most of my top 10 courses.

The only ones I would add are, Silloth On Solway and Ipswich (Purdis Heath) both are underrated but always in top 100, and Royal Lytham & St Annes.

I, like others, get the opportunity to play many top courses through throughout the year, including Woburn, Cinque Ports, Sunningdale and Swinley Forest but I always look to find another gem every year, to add to my list.
