First post here folks so if something similar has been posted before or it isn't topical please forgive me.

I've a bag full of mostly Titleist clubs, however not many are the newest models.

Despite the temptation to upgrade (just to have the new stuff) I'm happy with my original forged AP2 irons and would be reluctant to change them out.

With Adam Scott winning last week with a set of irons that were launched in 2003, I was just wondering if anyone had any old clubs they probably should upgrade but just cant bring themselves to do it?

Adam Scott is now an ancient 39. Maybe when he is midway through the Senior Tour he may need to switch. Wade Simpson played the same 680 MB for years, but MB's don't fundamentally change in the basic technology. If you still have decent grooves and your distance/launch don't show signs of your creeping age, don't change a thing. At this point (70), the only club I will be clinging to is my Scotty Putter. Now that I have a TS1, driver, maybe that can stay. The steel shafted irons - not so likely. Hoping I can hold off on moving to T-400's.
  3. I currently play with a set of the original Ap1s from 2008. I also have a set of the 716 AP1s that I just never got used to. After going back to the older versions I have more confidence in my yardages and they feel smoother and softer. I'm sure that I should update but after the last try I'm just a bit leery to spend the money. Plus, at almost 72 yrs. old I'm sure that my golf life is probably going to start its downhill slide pretty soon, so as long as I'm happy with my older AP1s I will just stay with them. However, once the new Vokey SM8s come out in a couple weeks, I just might splurge on a new sand wedge.

Welcome to the T/T family and hope that you'll find the answers to any questions you have. This sight has a great group of players that have a lot of experience and knowledge that they are willing to share,

  4. Welcome aboard!
We're not judgemental on here - there are some weird and wonderful combinations amongst the posters on this site - but most are overwhelmingly Titleist aficionados with a bag full of our preferred brand, though admittedly, some are odder than others
Having said that, the occasional skeleton emerges from the cupboard - I confess to having a TM SpiderX and a P**g Fetch in my cupboard for when my Scotty runs out of luck or I can't bend to retrieve the ball from the hole!

Hi and welcome to the group.

Having attended a Titleist Thursday last year resultimg in a new set of AP1s , driver , fairway woods and Vokey wedges all in "A" flex, Im getting on at 59yrs, I dont think I would repace any of them for one reason........my new golfing wife of 6 months would kill me........I do like the look of the new T Series though.

She did however ask me what I would like for my 60th next January, I suggested arrange a trip to The Masters, a meeting with Mr Vokey (Id just like to shake his hand), a vistit to Ball Plant 3 or a visit to St Ives....I think my best bet might be the latter.

I’ve still got my 913Fd 15deg 3 wood in my bag.
I’ve tried the TS 3 woods but I couldn’t get the the same feeling from it.

I freshened mine up at the weekend and added a new bag. My next change will be the driver I think.

I bought a 910F 13.5 degree 3 wood in 2011 and it has my go too club every since. Last year whilst playing at another club, I was browsing the pro shop and noticed a 910F for sale. I checked it and it was new, still in the wrapper, same shaft and loft. I enquired how much, £50 ! I ended up getting it for £40. Last month I swapped it out and am now playing with it. The old has been placed carefully away. just in case.
