Had a fitting session at St Ives today, really good experience, fitted for my first Cameron. Gone for a new Phantom X 6 STR to replace my Odyssey 2 ball blade. Looking forward to putting it in play this season!

  2. Steven,
Well, whatever happens, you can't be accused of being superstitious!!
It's a fabulous putter but a bit "avant garde" for me (M2 Select Newport 2).
    Three questions:
    1. Did you go with the 6SRT in mind or did you move towards it in fitting?
    2. Is there any flexibility in the choice/thickness of grip or do you get the standard specification?
    3. How long did it take?

Bizarrely I was hesitant to even try it as at first glance didnt think it would suit my eye but gave it a go regardless.
Overall it felt best in terms of the feel and roll I was achieving.
Loads of options regarding grip thickness etc but standard suited me best. Start to finish session lasted about 45mins
  4. Thanks Steven, I must have a session on this... Never certain unless I get some stats & analysis!!

Good stuff. So important to get fitted for the flat stick. I had a fitting with Graeme Noblett at Craigielaw a few years ago and took a lot out of the process. I’ve had other fittings before which used SAM and focussed a lot on club data, rather than what the ball was doing. The approach at Titleist was a lot more focussed on the putt itself, what the ball was doing and improving the outcome of the putt.

Hope you enjoy the new putter!
