  3. They do look great but how different can they be really?

I'm so happy with my SM7's so no need to change for me.

    Enjoy

I could feel a difference in how it squared while doing some chipping practice , how they compare to sm7 I can’t say ‍♂️ I’ve been playing sm4 since their release

  6. Richard,
Had a go with a 60* last Thursday. Visually a lovely club - Vokey don't do ugly - I particularly like the Brushed Steel finish. Maybe that's because I currently have that finish, but I like the way the ball is framed against the muted colour.
The SM8's were easy to hit and fairly easy to shape/control even for me! Still worked well when you rolled the face open and certainly had plenty of stopping power. Even got decent results with some very "well-used" range balls.
To be fair, I thought they are at least as good as my SM7's but that any difference is incremental and therefore hard to gauge. I'd need to be properly fitted for grind & bounce, shaft & grip to change up.... Though it is my birthday next month...

I think they look great and am interested to see how these redesigned wedges perform.

I was surprised to see that there is no longer a 58.04 option however. It is so useful when the links dries out.. if it ever does this year! I’ve never been a fan of the 60 and have played 50-54-58 as long as I can remember. I might just have to squeeze more life out of my SM6 58.04z

    Loving these.

We have a demo day for them on 23rd. Fingered crossed COVID19 won’t get its claws into that event.

Just had my Titleist Thursday appointment cancelled so your demo day could well be cancelled too.
  10. Hi Richard
Just had a fitting yesterday at SGGT, Edinburgh and about to order the following - 50 F Grind, 54 M Grind & 60 M Grind. Better consistency as regards distance control on all shots and I agree that the face seems to stay more square through impact and therefore dispersion is tighter, which is the two main goals of wedge play. Also the feel and sound at impact is great and instils confidence for all types of shots. Will be selling the old SM6’s, as soon as I get the new clubs! Enjoy!
  11. I got the SM8 -58 M Grind last week
Felt good and performed well on Friday first time out
Will look at the 50 and %4 in the coming months

Haven't booked a fitting yet but saw them in my local pro shop this week. I really like the brushed steel finish - it is better than the equivalent SM7 version in my opinion.
  14. Have mine in the bag great addition to my bag

I had a fitting for the SM8's last week at St. Ives, to replace my SM2's.
Gone for 50, 54 and 58 in black finish.

Stunning looking club regardless of finish!
  18. I waiting for the new V grind. I’ve had to buy an M and regrind it myself.
