  1. Hi does anyone on here use a Garmin GPS and has the connect/golf app that records your round?

I recently updated my S20 and now it asks for a little more info about the round giving you more details which is great imo.

    Anyone?

  2. Hi Alex

Yep, I use an S40 watch, it records my round, shot distances, putts etc. I just have to remember to push a button after Ive taken a shot. I connects direct to my phone.

Yeah, I use it. I have a Garmin Forerunner 945, which is really a triathlon watch, but it does basic GPS and allows you to track scoring, fairways hit, greens hit and putts per round. I like the Garmin golf app, and I imagine it would work great with a specific Garmin golf watch or rangefinder.

I've got a garmin x40 which saves all my stats.
  5. Alex,
Jeez, I'm still using an S2...
It does Front/Middle/Back plus the time, takes ages to locate satellites and an eternity to recharge.
I'm a bit wary of touchscreens so I'd probs go for a Rangefinder next time.

I’ve had an S20 for a couple of years, it’s great to look back at your stats and helps you work out where you need to improve.
You do have to be religious with putting shots in, if you do forget you have to use the desktop version of Garmin connect where you can add shots in and edit.

I use the S60 which is very good - the S62 looks even better as it looks easier to obtain distances to hazards. The tracking app is quite basic and I’ll sometimes not register the club I hit a shot with, for example a shot out of trouble or a chip etc as it affects the average distance measurements and can make for some odd readings.

I use the S20. The watch is brilliant. I love how it gives you all the stats. I don’t mind the extra questions as I know that it gives me extra feedback on my rounds. Recently bought 2 SM7 wedges so will use the ‘Measure Shot’ feature to work out how far I am hitting them.
