I carry a Players 4 StaDry, usually between September and April, and it's both lightweight and waterproof.
I've had no issues with it whatsoever.
The cover has 2 x velcro straps at the front and 2 x press-studs at the back.
This gives a nice snug fit. I've not had any rain/hail/snow get in...

Once you get the straps to your liking and secure them, it's great.

I bought the players stadry this year to replace my old 4Up stadry. It was really really tested about three weeks ago - my galvins failed, the greens were flooded but the bag did exactly what it says on the tin - it all stayed dry. The updated hood had much more room and was easier to use.

The strap is comfortable and space is good (albeit the 4+ probably may offer more room for tops and wet weather gear in winter).

My only minor minor criticism is that the valuables pocket in my new bag doesn’t have the fixed clip of inside that the old one did - it was really useful for securing my keys so even if I left the zip open they couldn’t fall out or were dislodged by me checking my phone etc.
