Hello everyone. Has anyone out there played the new SM10 Low Bounce K ? Apparently it has a wide sole and only .06 degrees of bounce. It's supposed to be great in the bunker and around the green.

    Thanks

It combines the best of T grind and K grind in one.

    What's up Mike!

So... In my humble opinion, the SM10 LB K Grind is a MUST have in my & your future bag, all year round ‍♂️
Not only is it a cheat code, in general, but for the most part in ANY/ALL types of bunkers (firm/soft/heavy or light). Particularly, "White Sand", aka "Tour Grade" or "Augusta White" Sand.
The LBK allows me to hit easier "splash-out" shots out of bunkers, per the unique 6° of bounce, versatile sole & ground. On that note, Its the perfect combination of "FEEL" and "TOUCH" interaction through the turf

........ Not to mention it's also a WedgeWorks Grind!! You'll have an ample amount of customizable options like adding EVEN MORE "Trailing Edge Relief" for fuller/square face shots OR adding "Heel Relief" for finessing shot shapes on tight lies & playability.

    You convinced, yet????

Ultimately... It all comes down to playing style & shot preference; But, in the end we all want to be in the "players category."
Residing in the East Coast, b/c of the humidity & full four seasons, it feels as if I play on different course conditions almost every time. Incredibly, theres no reason for me to take it out of my bag!! Just have to adapt to the days weather conditions whether it be firm, grainy, or soft fairways and/or greens

    Hope that helped, Bubba! Cheers!!

I just picked up a 60-06K at Golf Mart for $99 (it is one I actually traded in before). Put it alongside my SM6 60-12K (59*). They are just about equal. The SM6 beats it by 2 yards on a longer pitch or full swing. About equal out of soft sand. Where the low bounce wins is open face flop shots. The low K is pretty versatile.

I put the low bounce T grind because the bunkers are firm and not fluffy sand. I would love the Low Bounce K and give it a shot. Should make the game a little more interesting. Thanks

I’m lovin’ it! Put a 58-12D (57*) as an in between club for the 54-10S and it.

I got talked into the 58K* by a local club fitter/repair guy.

The 58K* is in the attached image paired with an SM9 54-12D. I current have the loft at 59* since it is in between the 58-14K (56*) and 62-08M. The 2nd image my basic playing bag.

I’ve been using the 60-06K on and off since about April. I traded it in awhile ago and bought it back yesterday (after discount) along with an SM10 60-14K since I had enough store credit (with $29 left over on a gift card).

I was able to acquire a 58K* last week for $45 net after trading in a GT2 7 wood (didn’t really lose money because I got it on store credit from Golf Mart).

I took the 58K* to the course last Wed. It was horrendous out of slightly soft sand but did Ok on a couple hard pan lies. I set the loft to 59* and it was a little more versatile (there is a sandbox at a neighborhood park that I use to practice soft sand).

Yesterday took the 58K*, 62-08M and a PM Grind 64 to the practice green and pitching area. As expected, there was a distance gap between the K* and 64. The K* and 62-08M were pretty equal except for the K* had 3 yards more distance. They were about equal out of the practice bunker (which is pretty hard).

This morning, took the 60K and 58K* to the clubhouse practice green and pitching area. The practice green has a spot with a hard pan lie. The pitching area has a deep bunker with very hard sand and there are spots with thick grass. Both clubs are 59* loft. The 60K had considerably better distance on full swings (about 5-7 yards). The 58K* was better out of thick grass.

So my path forward is to use the 60K with my 58-14K (56*) and 62-08M. I pair up the 58K* with my 64 and use them in place of the 62-08M.

What one sees in my bag is my current setup 46-50-54-58-62.

The below image has my spare 8 iron with. 54-12D, 58K* (59), “Phil” 64/10. The K* plays almost like M grind with the loft 1* weak.
