I played Lamkin R.E.L. in blue for 3 years. I just got re gripped in the N.D.M.C. platinum Blue/Grey in my entire set. Love them. Plenty of grip, great comfort and feel.

Absolutely love the Lamkin 3GEN REL grips in blue, good feel and durability. Have them on all my Titleist clubs, except my Scotty.

I seem to be partial to the GP Tour Velvets.....tried others like the multi-compound, but the Tour Velvets seems to keep their grip much longer.

I like Iomic grips. The Stickies are great, but i'm currently using the X Evolution because it's a few dollars cheaper.
I used GP Full cords before i went to Iomic, it's a nice grip. I tried the GP New Decade Multi Compound, but i found them too abrasive, so I don' like those

I've been overdue for new grips, not to mention I created some bad habits from forgetting to order my recent AP2 set midsize (got standard, by default). After reading this thread, I remembered that I like Midsize better, and seeing some of these Z-Grip posts, realized it was time for a change (been using the MC for ever and I liked them, but tired of them)
So, after trying out one club yesterday, I brought my irons in for all new grips today. The black and white pattern looks nice on my AP2s.
Not my thread, but thanks for the tips on grips!

B.A.,
Do you find the grips comfortable? I have heard the Z grips are pretty firm? Look forward to your feedback.

Have tried the GP Multi's (just had one of my son's clubs re gripped with these, felt good) , but I continue to play Tour Wraps2,
I keep them clean and they are tacky and firm. The Second Generation lot more so on tacky.
I play the stock Pistolini on my Scotty GoLo5s. Tried couple of others on my other putters, but didn't change.
The Grip isn't my issue ;)
I have a beautiful Bulls-eye Flange that I practice with at work with original Tan Leather.
Everybody who comes into the office loves it. I'm surprised it hasn't gone missing after all these years.

I've not sampled a ton of different grips, but I have used GP Tour Velvet (ribbed & non-ribbed), Tour Wrap (original & 2G), & New Decades, Lamkin Crossline, and some sort of Winn grip for a very brief moment of time - it was on a used club I bought and near EOL. I currently have all my clubs gripped with the Pure Grips Pure Pro in standard because I got a good deal from RBG on the whole kit - tools & grips. I like them quite a bit, though I need to slip 'em off and put a few more wraps of tape underneath. They definitely have a firmer feel than most traditional grips, but I quickly adjusted and don't know if I'll ever switch to another brand. I'm even contemplating one of their putter grips in place of my SuperStroke Slim 3.0.
I have lambkin midsize grips on mu wedges and I LOVE those but i have golf pride Z grips on my 712 AP2's and golf pride multi compound grips on my hybrids and my wood the Z grips are flat out amazing and I probably will never change.

With my personal experience of using multiple grips you listed... i prefer the Golf Pride Multi Compounds just because of the diversity of the grip. During great warm weather it gives you the soft feel of a traditional grip and the feeling of control as far as "touchy" situations around the greens. Then on the other end of the weather spectrum... When its raining and snowing, the grips provide the perfect amount of "traction" for your fingers to not feel like you are going to let go of the golf club when you follow through. When it is cold outside, it amazes me still that the grip stays as soft feeling as it does!
P.S. Hope this helped

I I have recently switched to pure. Easy to put on and replace and great in all weatherconditions

Like most other replies, Golf Pride Multi's are popular in my bag.

I have been using the Golf Pride Tour Velvet .580 Ribbed for years and still continue to enjoy them. It is amazing how comfortable they are for me... IMHO

I've been using the Titleist Full Chord for years on my Titleist clubs. When GolfSmith was on Kennedy in Mississauga and they were shutting down the Canadian outlet, they had them on sale and I bought about 80 of them. GolfTown wants over $20.00 each for them, believe it or not and they're never part of the Spring Grip Special.
Full Chord are great for me when the hands start to get sweaty in the high heat and on the humid summer days and when they get a little on the "dirty or greasy" side, it's just a matter of having a small piece of coarse sandpaper in my bag and give them a little 'up and down' and the chord gets exposed like new to offer a fresh grip feel.

Just switched to Golf Pride Tour Wraps - they feel GREAT - very tacky.

I use GPMC on my AP1's. I use the red/black, look great and feel great. It takes a cord grip in the summertime in Mississippi.
Hey guys,
Since I work with data for a living I thought I would go ahead and put a dashboard together to see what the grip counts were so far. I tried to only count what you said you are currently using not what you have used in the past. I did give credit if you use two kinds throughout your set. There were also a few I did not know how to categorize such as: 1 vote for Golf Pride Red (not sure which model) and 1 vote for Lamkin Charger Blue (again not sure which model). Please let me know if you feel I missed your vote (not represented on this chart.) This is just for fun and hope you enjoy it.

Haven't checked in for a while. Nice post!

Switched this season to the Lamkin Crossline (midsize). Tested the GP Tour Velvet (also midsize) but like that the Crosslines taper less. Next time, I will add an additional wrap of tape to fit my hand better.
Chuck ZMt Pleasant, SC
I like a grip that last a little longer and that would be the Golfpride brand. The other brands appear to be softer and wear quicker. When I first started playing golf my fitter turned me on to Golfpride and I swayed once of twice, but I always come back. I believe in not changing something that works.
I just got a set of Lamkin I-lines. It's a collaboration with Iomic, but much cheaper. I've never used Lamkin before, I do notice that it tapers a bit more than Golf Pride

Awesome Mike! I am going to test out the GP Multi Compound on my wedges to see how I like them. I will let you know what I think. Glad you enjoy them!

Great Post! Fun to read all the different styles and reasons why. I like the golf pride multi-compound grips with 2 wraps of tape. I have my woods in black and yellow, my irons in black and white and my wedges in black and red.
