    Hey Team Titleist -

With the 2015 FedExCup Playoffs underway, we thought it would be fun to pose the following question:

If you could win any golf tournament, from your club championship or your hometown PGA TOUR event to one of the Majors, what would it be and why?

We look forward to reading your answers!

    Best,

    Abby

It would have to be the Master's. It's career defining.

If I could win any golf tournament, it would certainly be The Masters. Although there is absolutely zero chance of this ever happening, it is certainly the stuff dreams are made of. As anybody who has been there will attest to, there is just something special that happens when you walk through the gates in Augusta. From the history of the club and the tournament, to all of the little nuances that only happen at The Masters (have you ever seen sandwiches in green waxed paper anywhere else), the place is just plain special. The silver lining to winning The Masters would be the lifetime exemption to come back and compete year after year so you could experience it over and over again. Now back to reality and more realistic goals like focusing on winning my flight in our Club Championship, at least that is something that could realistically happen!

While I would love to win The Masters, I'll put this into reality and would want to win The Unicorn (Member-Guest) at Friendly Hills Country Club with my good friend!

    Hi Abby!

This is an interesting question! I would have to "waffle" a little and say that I would love to win my local club championship. Partly, because this is a "reachable" goal ... with lots of hard work, perseverance and dedication. It would be an honour to achieve this goal ... though I am always reminded of the plot in "Caddyshack"!

The other part of my response would be that I would dream of winning the Masters as a youth, but in retrospect, I would want to really qualify it by saying that I would prefer the British or US Open simply because of the strength of the field and the long, long history of the events.

    Thanks for the great question.

Undoubtedly it would be the Masters. Just so I could go back and play it every year.

It's got to be the Masters for me.  Being able to play there every year after & being a part of the Master history would be second to none.  A close second would be the our Club Championship.  I think that more realistic ;-)

As with many others it's the Masters for me!

No matter the other tournaments, just playing Augusta and winning would be the end of the road for me!

The Masters 100% not only becaus of the history and the coarse, but I'm a Georgia boy born and raised and I have fond memories of the tournament as a child. A descent second would be the Players again fond memories growing up watching that tournament on TV and marveling at the island green.

I would have to jump on the Masters bus, but a very close second would have to the British. I have a deep love for all things over there and think that would be a great notch on the belt.

My club championship.  Local prestige and recognition.  Next would be the City Championship, in my case the Super Senior Division, because of the knowledge that I had played the best in my area and won.

Well, part 1 accomplished.  Last week I managed to repeat as champion of my course's Match Play, Senior Division, tournament.  I've got a local group tournament coming up next month of which I am also defending champ.  Hope to play well enough in that one to at least challenge for the title and would love to repeat that one, as well.  Have skipped the city championships this year as their timing did not fit my schedule--either qualifying or the tournament proper.

Without a doubt it would be the Masters.  That is the ultimate tournament in my eyes.  Heck, if that ever happened, I might just give up golf.  I know it wouldn't get any better than that!

Seeing as I'll never win the Masters, U.S. Open or British Open, I'll have to go with one of my club's championships. Mission accomplished for our 2-man Club Championship. Representing Team Titleist.

Congratulations, Scott.  Good to see you're still out there representing.  Just need to convert your partner to TT and FJ.

The U.S. Open! It's our nation's championship and it's open to everyone. What an amazing accomplishment to the winners.

I would certainly want to win the Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone.  The course is about 20 minutes from my hometown and my parents have been volunteers there for decades, going back to the WGC days in the early 90s.  It would be awesome to win such a prestigeous event in front of a home town crowd.

For me it would absolutely be the Master... First Major of the year and having that green jacket would be awesome.

    Great question, Abby!

10 years ago, my answer would have hands down been The Masters…and in a lot of ways, it always will be. But having kids and now having my oldest daughter playing competitive golf, things change a bit.

Now, the tournament I would most like to win would be the Carolinas Golf Association Parent/Child with my daughter. Closely behind that would be the Parent/Child at our home club. Would be so much fun! Hopefully one day...

BTW…your name rings a bell. Were you on staff w/ USGA or AJGA a couple of years ago and cover the Drive Chip and Putt Georgia regional final at Atlanta Athletic Club? That would have been summer 2013. Our daughter won the 7-9 division to advance to Augusta and I'm pretty sure you interviewed her briefly afterwards. Do I have that right?

Thanks for a fun question and thread!

Wow... What a heavy but a cool thought it would be... Me winning the Masters at Augusta National... (Honey, I'm on TV!) Yes, it would be the Masters without a doubt. I think it's most prestigious and honoring. Even before entering, it has a tough qualification to be invited which starts even further back. Thank you for this opportunity for us to express.

I have to jump on the Masters bandwagon.  The course, the tradition, the green jacket, the champions dinner, lifetime invite . . . the list is just too long to ignore.

But on a more realistic scale, winning the club championship is my target.  I was fortunate enough to win it two years back, adding my name to a list of many "one" time winners.  But to have my name on the plaque a second time would prove to myself that it wasn't just lightning in the bottle and that I still have the game to compete at a higher level.

    The Masters!

Now back to reality.   We all love golf and aspire to play our best every round.  Unfortunately, very few of us are talented enough to make it on any tour.  Those guys and gals are good.

If you could implies that you could win just by choosing and as everyone can see THE MASTERS is the Big Dog in tournament play.

The Masters.  The prestige that goes with winning a green jacket places you in a relatively small fraternity of players.  I've been fortunate to goto Augusta several times.  It's a special place.

Abby, It would have to be the Masters. Was there on 1998 and it is just so much more unbelievable that what you can appreciate on TV. And, I believe I would look good on Green. Plus to play there for the rest of my life could not get any better.

All wins feel good.  A few weeks ago I would have picked the US Open.   But I just finished reading the history of Augusta National and the hard work of Bobby Jones and the small city of Augusta getting the course built on a financial shoestring and getting the pro's of that era interested in playing a new tournament called the Master's.  Now, winning the Master's would be my first pick followed by the US Open.
