    If you are a veteran, you can now go on military installations if you are registered with the VA. Your VAID card will get you on and you can register at each installation in our area and visit their pro shops. Their clubs might be discounted and you do not have to pay tax on them. Play at the Charleston AFB and Naval Weapons Station in my area. But I still buy my clubs from my local titleist account where I always have. They do my fittings, repairs and are long time friends.

    I am a verified Veteran on ID.ME. Titleist actually shows as a participating vendor. Normally it would bring you to a splash page and detail the discount but I don't see anything. Not sure if it's valid.

    Are you referring to this site? These are sweepstakes. Discounts were not offered directly to veterans but to honor those who served with a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip for two to American Dunes and custom Titleist equipment..

    I am a verified Veteran as well on ID.me, have a 100% profile with Team Titleist and they recognize me as a veteran, which I appreciate. Have been a loyal member of Team Titleist for many years. Picked up three dozen new balls today and a new hybrid headcover today at my local Titleist account. Loyal to the brand and Titleist account. Growing up on a farm a hundred years ago, my granddad taught me you reap the seeds you sow.

    I have played Titleist golf balls for years. Yellow in particular since I can't see very well anymore. cally, Taylor-Made, Wilson and even 2 Japanese companies - srxn and Bridgestone offer a Military Discount. I support Titleist not only because they are the best ball, but also because they are made here in New England. But it sure would be nice to get a discount on the golf balls. If the other major golf ball manufactures can do it; why not Titleist?

    Dennis, they do offer at discount to everyone every year. Buy four dozen for the price or three. Based on current pricing that would be $41.25 a dozen for premium balls. If they were to offer you a 10% discount for being a veteran you would get them for $49.50. I like the current discount program. As a Disabled Veteran (1956-1971) I appreciate the discount we get in the spring and stock up then and have been a loyal Titleist customer form many years. I think they are being fair to their loyal customers. I could care less if the other brands offer us a discount, I have played them years ago and that does not entice me to play them again. Thank you for your service. =)

    Boy did I miss my service dates. I was only ten in 1956. I went in the AF in 1965. At 76 do not know if it is memory of typos. I am banking on typo. =)

    Boy, was this a lively discussion. Thank you VERY much to all who serve and served. Titleist is more than most about helping their Staff Pros, and green grass shops, Discounts are great, and I'm all for saving a buck. I'm with , and have been for many, many years because I find it is quality equipment that works for me, and my local pro is Titleist Staff. There are discounts available on anything and everything based on what you're looking for and what your positions may be. But we all don't always buy the cheapest or best discounted do we. Thanks for the GREAT discussion here, I enjoyed every bit of it.

    So, do manufacturers offer these discounts off the full MSRP or a discount off MAP pricing? There is a difference here, and it is significant.

    Unless the manufacturer themselves offer their accounts a discounted wholesale price, there is NO WAY an account can offer 15-20% off the MAP and not LOSE money on a transaction on current model golf clubs. The markup just isn't that much. Now, if you are talking about MSRP, well, in New England, I don't think any golf shop or retailer sells at that price because there are too many other facilities who sell at MAP. Generally, the MAP pricing is about 15-20% off the MSRP.

    My crazy brain was thinking about this post this morning and I think it is great that veterans are now recognized for their service by some businesses. This is not something that we even thought about when we go out in the 70's. We were more concerned about being accepted as a veteran and finding employment. Boy the times have changed for the better and anything we get is appreciated and will not affect where I shop.

    PXG needs all the help they can get to create a little piece of the market. They came into my old club offering the staff the world to play their equipment, chased out the TT fitter (My guy) and all the Titleist guys left with him. They sell maybe a dozen sets a year now, were doing 50+ before, with ease. Tough business.

    Parsons is a billionaire, it's a hobby for him. Not a business. If he can offer deep discounts to fellow veterans, good for him. Veterans helping veterans. As a former businessman and having served in the military, you cannot stay in business very long offering deep discounts unless, unless you have deep pockets and are using the business for a write off. Just saying. swoosh is out of the golf business (clubs, bags, balls) because they gave away so much.
