Focus on the physical fitness and stretching goals to improve stamina and consistency. Has always been important - but more so now as the years march on. Still searching for that 1st career Hole-in-one!
  2. trying to shoot my age, 70

Mine are pretty focused in two separate areas:
-Really focusing on driving the hips through the downswing to create space/lag/more consistency and some extra distance which is always nice.
-Practicing wedges from 50-110 to really dial in those areas (can probably save me two strokes per round, which at a plus-handicap would be greatly impacting
Hopefully with these I can average under par and get better than +3 this year (currently +2.8).

It’s fun to see the goals of the tour pros. As for me, my 2022 goals consist of raising my GIR % to 50, more focused practice that will carry over to the course, lower my average putts per round from 30 to 28 and lastly I would like to shoot at least one even par round for the year. I had at least one round shooting par or under two years in a row and would like to continue going low to continue building the confidence that I can consistently shoot par. 2022 is going to be a challenging year because there’s some big life changes coming but I will still work hard to maintain my game and improve.
  5. Process goals per round:
    1) follow pre- and post-shot routine on 80% of shots
    2) Pick 3 shots per round for memory bank

Outcome goals per round: 8 GIRs, 8 Pars, 33 puts, 1 birdie

Play 1 round/mo without keeping score

  7. Honestly it would be to spend more time before and after a round practicing.

  8. Break 75 at Bethpage Black and have a fun, enjoyable season with friends.

Knowing I am on the back side of my best golf and coming off my health scare, 2022 goals are to enjoy every round I get to play, play a few more great courses on my bucket list, spend as much time on-line or in person with my fellow TT members & staffers, and lock down that dream trip planning to Ireland, hopefully for 2023. Wishing everyone the best in achieving their goals!

Goals for 2022 are similar to 2021, try to get better in all phases of my game.

    More specifically...

    1) I would like to get my handicap into the plus category. I was a +0.1 for minute in 2021.
    2) I would like to play in a Father/Son tournament with my son
    3) Enjoy the process and the grind of getting better
    4) Advance to a farther stage in some state and national qualifying tournaments

    Finally...
    5) Play in my FIRST Team Titleist Invitational.
  11. First off, thank you TT for the stickers! My goal is simple. Be more consistent!

Getting back into the game after an 11 year layoff in 2021 I do have some small goals. These are not necessarily in order.

    1. Getting the game back to where it was. Currently a 6.9 was a 2.0 at my best.
    2. Shoot a round below par.
    3. Get in better shape. Turned 50 in 2021, time to get rid of the Dad bod.
    4. Introduce my kids to the game. They are 7 and 5.
    5. Attend a TT event
  13. I already changed my grip a little and swing path. Im looking to get back to my college years of playing and scoring low. Still hitting my 714 AP2.

Need to make that solid ball striking to get my game back to where it was.

Leading the 2022 Phoenix Cup team USA to a victory in England in August. Playing well all summer wouldn't hurt either....
  15. Best my low tournament round—currently 76.
    Best my low 9 hole score—currently 33.
Take delivery on my new T100S irons.
Add a TT bag tag and hole in one bag tag to the bag.

I am the king of shooting 75 one day and 95 the next. So I'd rather raise my floor than my ceiling if you know what I mean. Not sure how to quantify that as a goal but maybe no rounds worse than bogey golf?

This topic made me remember that I have some sleeves of test balls from last year that I didn't have a chance to play, never mind submit an evaluation. My apologies to Titleist for not being diligent about this.

So, with this in mind, most of my goals are simple. Practice and play a bit more (4 x 18 holes last year with a 9, 6, and 3 hole excursion tossed in, too) and have fun while doing so. I've taken a couple of lessons to try to regain ball striking ability and regain lost distance (crossing into sexagenarian territory isn't what retirement is all about!), so I hope to regain some form. This is a long-shot as I've only done it once before, but maybe from middle tees, I can post a legitimate round with a negative differential. Like I said, a long-shot, but a goal nonetheless!

Have fun chasing goals, fellow TT members. Just remember, performance goals are short term. Once you accomplish them, there are new levels. Always, because golf can't be conquered!

I played virtually no golf last year due to a back injury and the death of my dad. This year, my goal is to play a ton of golf and be social again. I'm even looking at a golf trip. My parents both died way too soon and it reminds me that we all need to get out and check off those bucket list items before it is too late.
