  1. Picker! Caddies and the grounds crew love me. Keeping that turf fresh

Slight digger I guess if there is such a thing. Shallow divots. Still try to stay away from the beaver pelt.
  3. Perfect divots now that I have my new T300’s!!

Actually a sweeper, but when dictated by the lie I do a bit of digging too.

I would love to be less of a digger. I feel like my angle of attack is so steep on every club, including driver, that I am losing distance. Could just be getting older though.

I'm a digger and play better now than when I was younger and more of a picker. Playing in mid-Wyoming as a teenager did not lend itself to digging, so picking the ball and letting it run was my default. After I moved east and had to start playing the ball more up than low and running, I began to understand digging. But I truly changed about 20 years ago following a couple of three day golf schools which gave me a better understanding of why the downward strike works better. Always working on improving ball strike, though, since too many of the divots start too far back.

Mostly a digger . . . but sometimes I have to "pick," especially with wedges when I need to get a bit more spin. Even then, I find myself taking a divot most of the time.

I'm usually a picker of the golf ball with my irons. Thin it to win it!

Giant, deep cavernous holes in the ground. As if a backhoe was used. So, I guess digging.

I was a digger for years, + handicap most of my life. After Tommy John surgery a few years ago, I had to switch. Can't play anywhere near as well, but I'm playing.

I take light divots, never been a digger

  18. Surprised nobody mentioned this. Those who have played for many years grew up with muscle back blades that were a diggers delight. Modern design promotes better turf interaction and allows for different approaches.

Picker - the earlier post about practicing on mats versus grass makes me wonder if that’s where it all started. When I started playing, I was actually practicing off our dirt driveway, which was very compacted. Divots hurt and I learned to pick the ball to compensate.
  20. A bit of both, longer irons are more picked than dug, and visa versa with the lower.
