Back on January 18th I was diagnosed with Stage 1 Pancreatic Cancer and I never thought in a million years I would ever get cancer. I was defiantly shocked, so I put everything in Gods Hands to help me get through this.
Then on February 1st I had a Whipple Procedure to remove the cancer. A Whipple Procedure is where they remove the head of your pancreas, part of your bile duct tube, your gallbladder and part of your lower intestines. This is a tough surgery and a tough recovery. I knew if I wanted to play golf again soon, I would have to put in the work to be able to do so.
After about 3 weeks I started to get more active and I was chipping and pitching golf balls with my dog outside. Then on the 43rd day after surgery I was able to get out and play 9 holes with my Titleist Clubs. I shot a 43 with the New ProV1 on that day last week.
I was a little sore after that round, but it was well worth it.
