Hi team, Thanks for the balls, Found it to feel hard off the club with the drive, gave good distance, but more of a soft feel around the green. Putted well. Difficult to give a long time view at this stage due to poor weather. Now on my 3rd ball as previous two nicked by seagulls.

Just leaving feedback on this new Titleist ball, I use NXT Tour but did not find a lot of difference with new ball I would point out it felt really good rolling ball on putts, soft feel with mid flight yes like this ball. And condition not good lately but went true to target and very good around the greens Thanks Hanna

Ed PWesthill,
Hi Hannah
Thanks for the trial balls but unfortunately the course I play on has been subject to closure due to the bad weather. Once the weather improves I will post my reply.

Hi Hannah,
Due to weather conditions I have only had a brief opportunity to test the ball. In very high winds the ball reacted well and seemed to fly quite high with the wind and low against, fairly comfortably. It felt good off the face of the club when chipping and putting and I would be quite happy to play the ball although I really need more opportunity to give a proper testing of it in varied conditions. So far, so good. regards Steve

Hi titleist staff and thanks for sending me the test balls. I was not surprised with the performance as I would expect this from your equipment the ball was very consistent off the tee as well as with fairway irons. Felt very responsive around the green and during putting it was very nice off the face. I would definately game this ball.

maybe next time i might get some hint hint lol

used the test balls twice now and found them similar to NXT i normally use. not lost one yet. goes well with driver, wedge shots stop on green and putting good distance control.(not going in hole down to me). are these going to be new range of balls? would be good to no what they are. thanks for chance to test balls. Firstly Thank you for the opportunity to be part of the trial. My feedback is from both course play and from my time with a GC2 launch monitor against what I believe are similar balls. Currently I am alternating between the Competitor 1 and Competitor 2, as we have winter conditions in the UK. Feel - The feel of the ball was good. It was comparable with the Competitor 2 but not as soft as the Competitor 1. It was a nice feeling ball, on solid hits it felt good. Distance - This was similarly matched with the Competitor 2 both posted similar distances however the spin with my irons was down on what I needed. 4650 rpm on average, however the Competitor 1 posted 6 yards more distance with spin rates of 5500rpm with a 7 iron. Through all of these the ball speed was similar circa 105 mph, and the launch angles within a degree of each other. Durability - The ball held up well to the testing across all clubs and was more durable than the Competitor 2 and Competitor 1. With the short game half wedge shots etc... the ball help up well, it didn't check and stop but with its cover I wasn't expecting it to. Overall its a good ball, for what I believe its pitched against, but for me the lower spin numbers with Irons and wedges means it wouldn't become my only gamer ball, but against Competitor 2 I would pick it for its durability.

Thanks for the sleeve of balls to test, it's been very soggy here in Devon so not the ideal time to be truly objective as the ground conditions are extremely heavy which has made striking, bounce (mostly 'plug'!) and roll difficult to assess.
Overall I thought the ball performed as well as I expected in general play, but no better. However I definitely feel that it was a harder construction and therefore didn't perform as I would like when putting, my preference is for a soft ball which these were not.
Steven CCleckheaton,
Hi, thanks for the test balls and being included in the trial.
Not ideal conditions in the UK but compared to the NXT tour which I normally play I found that the test ball gave a lower more penetrating flight. Surprisingly it stopped quicker on the green but soft wet greens might impact on this.
Ball sounds solid on drives and gave a nice feel on impact. Iron shots felt good. On the putting green the ball feels a bit harder and seems to roll a bit more but gave a consistent feel. Chips and lobs however did not feel as firm and stopped shorter than the NXT. Not what I expected.
I will try them again next year in the warmer weather having managed to play the round with the same ball.
Hope this feedback helps.
Steve.

Hi

Another LeftyPortadown,
Hi Hannah and the rest of the TT group!
Many thanks for the sleeve of balls for testing. Unfortunately the recent weather has not been conducive to ideal testing conditions but I have managed to play a couple of rounds with the test balls.
I usually play a variety of balls in the winter: Titleist, srxn, cally and the ubiquitous Pinnacle Gold!...depends on the degree of risk of losing plugged balls!
First impressions of the test balls have been good. Difficult to compare tee shots with the driver but generally they seem to give a consistent ball flight with a good feel off the clubface. Hybrid shots are consistently high with good stopping ability on the green.
It was around the green that I was particularly impressed. There is a nice feel to the ball when chipping which encourages a nice follow through which is important to avoid deceleration! The run out achieved was consistent and the ball rolled well.
When putting, the ball felt good on the clubface giving a positive feedback. It also felt slightly firmer than what I would expect from a Pro V ball. Again it travelled well with a consistent roll and pace.
As I said before, the winter conditions make it difficult to compare run on the fairway and may also exaggerate stopping ability on soft greens. I have passed on one of the balls to a playing partner who is a single handicap player for further feedback.
I would be interested in further information on the test ball as I would be happy to use it in future. Many thanks for the opportunity to test the golf balls!
John RBenfleet,
Hi,
I enjoyed playing with the balls and still have all 3!! Conditions have not been good but I found the ball similar to the Velocity ball that I normally play with but maybe a little harder, I was certainly getting good distance even though the ball was stopping rapidly on the fairways. Shots to greens were stopping very quickly but to be honest I think this was more about the wet condition of the greens than the ball. Cover stayed nice and white which is important with so many leaves about. They strike me as a good winter ball, help with distance, nice and bright and fine around greens.

Not the best weather conditions, but nevertheless tried the balls and really liked them. Really good feel off the club face, good distance in spite of wet and muddy course, and loved the feel when putting. improved confidence as the round (friendly game) progressed. Thank you for the opportunity to test the ball, and look forward to seeing them in the pro shop soon.

Hi Titleist Team,
I haven't received any test balls this year, but what I can tell you is the one's I received last year were top quality from Tee to Green and also on the Green. I could hear the fizz from the club face off the Tee. I received great control on the Green as the ball gripped the surface and came to an immediate stop. The outer feel of the ball was very soft and as the ball got warmer you could feel the grip in your hand. I have no Idea which model of ball they were, but would sure like to find out so that I could fill my bag with them.
Please keep up the great work you are all doing in the Titleist Team, not just with the golf ball but all other aspects of this great game.
Best Regards,
Taffyo

Regret to say that the weather has been wet and windy and I have not had an opportunity to try them. Much as I want to.
JonNantwich,
Nice feel off mid irons and with the driver. Seems similar to the velocity ball.

Hello Hannah,
Unfortunately I have not yet used the Test Balls due to the weather my course has been closed. I will use them as soon as I can and give you my feedback. If they are anything like the last Test Balls I have tried before, really looking forward to using them.
Kind Regards

Just got back from using my Titleist demo golf balls.
It was a cold wet and windy day at Essendon Country Club and the course was very soft thanks to the deluge of rain we have experienced over the last few weeks. I was very pleased how these Balls performed and found a good consistent distance. I really liked how they felt off of the clubface and felt comfortable how they would react around the greens. All in all I think Titleist have another great ball on the production line.

Used the balls over a couple of weeks and found them to be good off the tee but also performed very well chipping around the green. Lovely feel when putting as well. Our weather has been good so was able to get good run on the fairways and spin pitching into the green. Wear also seemed good, over 3 or 4 rounds they still looked great. Would be happy to play them in all conditions.
