    Team Titleist,

    We need your help!

We want to get your feedback on the Limited Edition Headcovers as seen at The Open this year.

Please could comment below firstly your thoughts on this years range and secondly, if you had the chance to design a set of Titleist limited edition headcovers specifically for that week what would you do?

Looking forward to hearing your suggestions!

    Best,

    Hannah

Hi Hannah, I'm sorry to say the limited edition headcovers shown do nothing for me, I don't really like to colour scheme and there's nothing that stands out that its to commemorate the Open.
Having collected Scotty Cameron headcovers over the years I think his ideas on commemorative headcovers are almost always on the right track. My favourite has to be the 2010 Ryder Cup European one where he takes the Welsh Dragon, and the European Flag and combines them very well which acknowledges the team, its flag colours and the nationality of the venue, so if I was to design a headcover for the 2018 Open it would be along similar lines.

    best regards
    David

    Hi Hannah

I thought they looked good and If I had the chance to design some in the future then maybe add the event and the year to them. Also maybe look at intergrating the clubs colours where the open is being held.
  4. Hi Hannah, I like this year's head covers and I thought the 2016 version was great too.
However, I would like to see a little more imagination going in to them. Perhaps taking inspiration from the venue in the way that Scotty Cameron does with his major championship covers. I know there are rights issues but a little creativity goes a long way.
It would be great if Team Titleist members were allowed priority purchase too :)
  5. I honestly thought they were the best looking head covers yet they looked amazing quality and are the first set I have genuinely thought of purchasing.

I would maybe think about etching the names of past open winners who played titleist into them? I would also have some sort of local landmark as a faint background

PS if you have a set spare I am more than happy to take them

    Hi Hannah,

I think the Headcovers were nice but I wasn't keen on the colours and also the lack of a sock for protection of the Graphite shaft.
I would like to see Titleist team colours on next years and also maybe a Scottish flag on with it being at Carnoustie with 147 across the Scottish flag, and the return of the sock with possibly tartan on ha ha.

    Regards
    Gary

    Hi Hannah
Agree with David S. nothing special for me.
I look more for a design with nicer colors, a bit more flashy and showing the history of the event using the national flag colour.
    trusting this help.

Hi Hannah , I'm afraid i am with david s on this occasion and think the colour scheme misses the mark although they are nice how do they stand out as covers for the open 2017

    Bragg Creek,

I also think the colours missed the mark. My favourite so far has been the white "boxing glove", but I'm with some of the others here that favour a sleeve to protect the shaft. Whoever mentioned that Scotty Cameron is generally on the right track was spot on. Get him in on the commemorative head covers and you can't go wrong.
  10. Hey, I think they definitely need a more modern feel to the headcovers from a design perspective. They lack imagination for me and I'd much prefer to see something really iconic and unique. An example would be my harbour town driver head cover. No matter where I play, everyone always asks about that head cover... great conversation starter! and there are several tour pro's who carry it (Matt Fitzpatrick as an example)
  11. Hi Hannah
    Not bad.
My suggestion would be to do them in the same style/colour scheme as the 2017 Titleist hats range with a Titleist logo (iconic white and red) and an Official Open Logo

  12. I like the idea of them being understated, but I was quite underwhelmed. Again, I'd echo the comments of them having a more 'the open' theme.

    Hi Hannah

Not the most modern or striking set, given how much the designs of other lines have improved, most notably for me the FJ shirts, I feel we could expect more striking styles and colour combos but not garish like some inferior manufacturers release.

sorry a miss for me they are the first ones i would not buy
  15. I would also have added the year but I may have put "113th Open", and I would also have put for example on the driver cover '1'. It should he old fashioned because that what the Open is about going back to golfs roots. Also like this years colors I would put a neutral color as the main color (black, white, beige, or even brown) because that seems more retro.
  16. Hannah, Not exciting me, I'm afraid.
Must also say, the black leather premium headcover is a) heavy and b) not cool. Love Titleist and know you can improve it.

    All good wishes,
    Tim

    Hi Hannah
Sadly I found this years design quite boring and truth be told not very inspiring and that is the only reason why I didn't purchase them. The commemorative head covers are a nice touch but if Im honest with you they tend to be on the boring side and like David S said in one of the earlier comments would it be possible to make something similar to a design of a Scotty Cameron putter cover as this would surely separate them from the rest. Also one of my biggest gripes are the price and I know that these are premium head covers but normally golfers just can't to justify the £149.99 price tag for two covers, and if four are brought out for all of the majors that can work out quite pricey. What about if a design was worked out which would incorporate all four majors on the one set something like the Scotty Cameron patchwork head covers that over see all of the four majors and as next year is a Ryder Cup year that could also maybe included. Another suggestion could the set be made to include a driver/fairway/hybrid or fairway as most golfers in this day and age have these three clubs in their bag, lastly I do prefer a sock on my head covers to protect the graphite shaft but I do understand that all the manufactures are going with boxing glove design but thats just a personal preference.
    Thanks
    Scott

I liked them. They had a retro look and I thought the club numbers stood out nicely. Head covers generally these all look a bit too big and bold. It was nice to see something a bit more toned down

    Hi Hannah
I have liked the last 2 versions but as Simon mentioned, maybe something with the year and venue as well as incorporating the region as Scotty Cameron does with the headcovers.

Ive been a fan of these Ltd covers, but the ones from this years Open didn't do it for me unfortunately!

    Hey Hannah

To echo the the opinions on here, it is a tad boring. While it does have a "traditional" feel, it does evoke the right feeling or suggest anything to make think about The Open.

Re a different design, I have always felt the TItleist logo is a powerful one, even more so when you factor in the story behind it. I would incorporate the Titleist logo and perhaps something that is quintessentially The Open (Old Tom Morris, The Claret Jug etc).

    Cheers,
    Shoaib
