Very nice ball, played yesterday in a strong wind and it performed very well, slightly better carry than the NXT Tour that I usually play with, and putted extremely well with it.
Would certainly change to this ball when confirmed.

Hi, many thanks for the tube of 3 balls which were tested today.
My first impression was length, easily 20+ yards more, in fact I lost one into a water hazard from the tee on the 4th, been close to it before when I hit my sunday best but with little roll because of wet conditions was well impressed! In fact throughout the round this ball travelled further with every club used.
Flight.. Similar height to Pro V but more penetrating flight and straight too, held the line it was hit on
Spin..I'm not a great manufacturer of spin, normally play short to allow ball to release to hole but today the ball stuck on the greens, never travelling far from its landing point.
Durability.. Sounded a bit hard off the clubface, no scuffs when round was finished, so would last a good few rounds.
To sum up, Great all round ball, could be used summer/ winter, by low or high handicappers..so yes please a dozen delivered to my door would keep me going through the winter season :-)

Many thanks for the test balls I received in the post, a nice surprise.
Firstly they felt firmer than a prov, more like a NXT tour. I really enjoyed my first outing with these. Seemed a little straighter off the driver but that could have been me! Very nice off the putter, soft but firm at the same time. This was my favourite aspect of the ball. Can't really comment from irons into the green as the weather had turned just as they came and the greens softened up. So whatever ball you play with was holding up. Still came off the club face nice and a lovely flight.
I would definitely buy these balls to put I to play, but for use in the drier months!
once again thank you for the opportunity to try them out.
ps how about a new 915 driver to test them out with!

First impressions of the new balls are extremely positive. Distance was excellent, both off the tee and approach shots. The feel off the putter also really impressed me. Biggest plus for me was the confidence I had with my wedges. I really felt that I could control the amount of spin on any shot within 100 yards approx.

Hi-Thanks for the opportunity of trying out the test balls. have played 2 rounds using a ball and found it to have al the attributes anyone would want at this time of year. good penetrating and long flight off the tee with both driver (png G20 ) and 3 wood (TM R9). has excellent feel and stopping power with short irons and great feel on the greens, with better roll characteristics than maybe the Pro V1, but it maybe the time of year being cooler. This test ball does seem to be similar to the Tour S ball to me.
All round I have been very impressed with the overall playability of the ball and would certinately use it during the Autumn & winter months as opposed to a Pro V1 which is my ball of prefference for the rest of the year .
Best regards

Thank you for the test balls. I usually play with velocity balls and to me they felt like a cross between those and a Pro V. first thing that struck me though, was a lower trajectory than velocity and also much more durable. I played a full round with one and it doesn't look like I've used it even after thinning it over the pond on the 18th at Worfield.
I shall be using the same ball this weekend to see how it holds up!
I found the ball great on the greens too great to putt with and also more back spin from my short irons.
In summary, great golf ball.

I was surprised but very happy to receive the test balls in the post. I have used one ball over two rounds at two different golf courses and I was very impressed at the feel and sound as they came off the club face. They seem quite soft but still easily go as far as my normal Pro V. They are very straight off the face of the driver, rescue clubs and Irons and run true off the putter too.
Fantastic ball overall apart from just the one thing, they seem to cut up quite quickly. After the initial two rounds it was cut in a coupIe of places, I used the next one at Woodhall Spa where as you know they have a great proliferation of bunkers. They come out of a bunker and roll softly as well as having some spin on high shots. I used the same ball at my own club, Greetham Valley, and again it started to show little cuts.
Overall this is an excellent ball but the cover is possibly a little softer than necessary.

Hi
Got a sleeve of Prov1 x in the post last week to test.
Tried them out last Saturday and was very impressed with them. Even given the time of year I was still able to notice a difference in distance off the tee.
Can't wait for the official release , to try with my new 915 driver and fairway woods once I get them.
Thanks Team Titleist

Tried the test balls for the first time today after a long absence from the course due to illness.First impression is that the ball is hard off the driver but seems to fly well. Around the green I was surprised on a number of occasions on the amount of grip generated. Excellent! It can't be all down to wetter conditions.Overall I am well impressed but don't like the hard sound off the driver
paul bLondon,
OMG. I want more. These beauties landed on my doorstep and enticed me into going for a round. I never could really feel the difference n playing different golf balls before but with these i felt I could feel it imploding off the club face. it was noticeably longer on several shots too. A couple of tee shots were as long as my longest summertime drives and even out the rough it was impressively long. I didn't lose a golf ball all day and considering my last 2 rounds featured 5 blobs each this doesn't happen very often for me. I hit 2 consecutive shots to within 10 feet and unfortunately this coincided with my one bad putt all day so only walked away with one birdie. overall impression is wow. they rolled well on the greens too and I shot 3 under my handicap even though chipped poorly. I am salivating at the thought of going out again these balls have me genuinely excited. What will be their product name as I have to have more?

Many thanks for the test balls. I'd recently been playing the Velocity ball as it nears winter conditions in UK . These balls however are a timely reminder that I prefer the Pro V1 , as these feel very similar to the 2013 Pro V1 balls I still have. On a windy day I found the flight more penetrating and the solid putting feel helped on the slow greens. I visited a couple of bunkers unfortunately and did notice they roughed up quite a bit from wet heavy sand and which again reminded me why I play with a cheaper ball come winter.
Quite an honour to say to fellow players I'd been asked to 'test' balls for you. One chap asked me whether it was because I hit it so far !!
Thanks again
Dave, from Knaresborough.

First can i say its a strange time of year to test a new ball, with the course soft temperature low and the wind up.....
Having said that i'm impressed with the performance.
Off the tee with a 3 wood the distance is impressive 8 to 10 yards farther than normal but the test ball does feel quite hard, ball flight is slightly higher. i have only hit the ball a couple of times with the driver so can't comment. medium and long irons again i have a small increase in distance with a slightly higher ball flight. off my wedges the ball feels surprisingly soft, control is difficult to judge as the course is playing soft, but performs the same as my current ball - not helpful i know but you can stop anything on a soft green !!!!!. (i hit the ball high) chipping the ball with an 8 iron 10 - 25 yards i get a nice consistent first check then a good rollout ,as for putting i think this is the best part of this ball the feel is soft but not to soft so you get good feed back an a really nice roll. i will be saving one of these balls (if i can resist) for the summer, i will update on "normal" playing conditions.

Feedback on the test balls, I use pro v x as my normal ball. I found the test balls to have a crisper feel off the tee, and felt as if they came of the club face quicker. I would say the ball flight was pretty similar to my usual low ball flight, and I would say that the ball carried on average about 5-10 yards further.
My impression was that the ball came of the club quicker, but this did not effect the usual excellent control and feel you get with a pro v. I hit several knock down shots and was able to easily control the ball as well as the old pro v
I found them to be of a similar feel to my usual ball round the green, and the spin created from distance and closer in was also almost identical to my usual spin amounts.
I found them to have a very slightly firmer feel on the greens with a really nice click of the putter head. I preferred the feel of the test ball on the greens as I like the speed the ball came of the putter head which gave me confidence to slow my putter swing down and so create a much smoother stroke.
Finally I found the durability of the test ball to be excellent, with the ball being unmarked after 9 holes of golf, with my swing speed being in the region of 110 mph
In conclusion I would say the test ball has a slightly firmer feel, with added distance and much better durability, but still retaining that really good feel, which allows you to control the ball.

Played 3 rounds now with the test balls, and have to say they are another brilliant ball from Titleist. To me they feel marginally softer but this is a positive, really like the new Pro v1x and will use it for 2015.
Thanks
